So, school has started.. for two weeks now. And unbelivably, it has really made my mood better.
In the last months, the feeling of dissatisfaction and a big estomachache about everything in my life and around me was growing faster and bigger.
But knowing lots of new people has made me better... people that give me a chance to show who I am, without any pre-judgements. And I almost can say studying has become enjoyable.
I'm singing in my mate's band. Has been lots of fun.

Now, talking about art...

I guess you guys may be tired of story/comic/manga projects I keep starting (or just keep blabling about..) and never really show anything.
I took some unsuccessful projects for that, but I actully figured that I just don't have the skills nor the patience for a graphical story right now. I have really nice ideas and concepts, I may say, but the thing is, I really don't want to ruin them.
So I'll just wait, till I think I'm actually competent enough to make a decent manga. And that may took years... maybe when I finish school, or even after I finish college. But I want to keep my idea in a drawer, to open it again at that time.

Till there, I'm developing the story and the concepts... new characters and plots that will, hopefuly, take part of F.L.A.G.
Yeah, Flag (a name that will probably be changed).. my first comic project that still is the one that seems the best to me. But this story has suffered so many changes (good ones, I'd say) since the first time I ever mentioned it.
You know Nanashi and Seth, now Viggo and some other new chars that I'll introduce to you in the next days, that now have a real reason to be part of this story.  

I never really said what this story was about, so I guess I should write at least a short synopsis, for you to have a better idea of where these new characters will be in.

It's basically about a huge futuristic city named Siren, where the working class is formed  by 'puppets' of the government and the underworld is ruled by mafias, drug and weapon traffic and cyber-terrorism. Yeah, nothing different from the most Cyberpunk stories, except from a huge conspiration held by the governing faction that aims to 'filtrate' the Siren population in order to create a new era, with the perfect citizens in the perfect city. (lol, kinda nazi)
After the elimination, the solitary city will be the scenery of a morbid 'game' where the few left citizens shall eliminate one another in order to survive, win the game, and reach their personal objectives.  
Some aim for justice and peace, other for revenge, other for revolution or just simply surviving.

Yeah, I know it sounds pretty ridiculous... but It's a plot that allows many side stories and characters, and that's what make it interesting. And is what I'm working on at the moment.

Hey guys,

2008 was a really good year for me... I mean, so many things happened... and surprisingly, everything went ok at the end.

As an artist, I don't guess I had any huge improving or big leap... but I felt I improved a little bit in each drawing I made.. sometimes imperceptible, but i guess it was there.

It was a quite stable year, where I could start to really see what's my style like... and to start giving my own identity to the drawings.

And oh yeah, I painted a lot... and surely improved my use of colors. But now I feel I need to take a break from them.
You know, I'm kind of leaving drawing aside... when I start sketching something, I always hurry it because I want to start painting xP
And thing is, colors can distract you from the quality of the drawing. They can serve as a disguise for a not much good drawing.

So, I decided that in this year I'm gonna work my drawing skills the most possible. So you guys can wait for inked linearts, concept drawings, traditional art, and very detailed and neat pictures... or at least I hope this way.

And once again, critique is most welcome. always.
Please guys, tell me all you think, you don't need to be experts or anything.

Again, sorry for my lateness at replying comments... >_<


In Christmas I got many Art and Design books and magazines as gifts... I'm studying xD
